Trip to Yuma, AZ for dentist appointments

Feb 26, 2012 to March 7, 2012

We moved the camper to Yuma, AZ for dentist appointments.  There was going to be more than one appointment so it was cheaper to move the camper down there instead of driving 200 miles round trip four times.  We parked the camper in a Casino parking lot and that is were we stayed until the following Wednesday.

On the 27th was our first appointment with Doctor Jerry.  He was very friendly and very professional.  We did like the work that he did for us and would recommend him to anyone...oh yeah, we did.  Deb and Jerry went to Dr. Jerry the following week.

We did some sight seeing while we were in Yuma:

We visited the Center of the World in Felicity, CA.

This is the Center of the World.

This is a replica of Michael Angelo's arm "Pointing to God"
It is also a sun dial.  Yes we were there at Noon!

This was a little chapel on the hill above the Center of the World.

On these Marble slab,  they are engraving the history of the world.

We also went to the Sand Dunes.  This was a great place to ride dune buggies.

Jim and Abby checking out the Sand Dunes.

Great place to have some serious fun in the sand!!!

See that brown line in the Sand?  That is the Mexican border.
I did notice a lot of Border Patrol agents around there!!

We also visited the Yuma Territorial Prison:

On one of trips into Mexico, we saw a tribal dance demonstration.

And of course they were passing the hat afterwards for a donation.

While in Yuma we met a couple of really nice people.  Jim got a job offer to work for an RV repair service at the Good Sam's Rally in Phoenix. And we also have been invited to visit another couple in Colorado on our way back to Ohio.
This retirement gig is great!!!!!

Life is a Journey....Enjoy it.
